Roundups

This week in the roundup I thought I would mention some articles from a few of the Christian personal finance blogs I follow.  Enjoy!

Pete talks about putting a contingency plan in place for major life events.  If you plan now, you’ll be prepared for these big life events that can cause money problems and divert your time away from managing your finances. [Bible Money Matters]

Do you own the best or worst car insurance on the market today?  Not sure?  Yikes!  Mind didn’t make the top 5, but it didn’t make the bottom 5 either.   [Christian Personal Finance]

At what point are you debt free?  Craig discusses Proverbs 22:7 and is wondering if slave to the lender is true in all situations.  Hmm…interesting thought.  Personally, it may not feel like slavery to have all your debt paid off except the home mortgage, but can you really have freedom when you still owe a mortgage payment each month? [Money Help for Christians]

In a must read post, Joe discusses when dreams die and how good and new things can come from moving on.   We are reminded to fully trust God in all circumstances and we will be grateful in the end as was Paul.  [Personal Finance by the Book]

There are a number of things you can do with your 401K when you leave your company.  Personally, I’ve rolled past 401K’s over into traditional IRA’s with greater investment options. [Redeeming Riches]
